SANDY MT JORDAN STAKE ERC PREAMBLE AND SCRIPT

[HEADS UP]
About one minute prior to beginning the net, announce (on-air) that the SANDY UTAH MOUNT JORDAN STAKE, ERC NET will begin in about one minute.

[INTRODUCTION]
Calling the Sandy Utah Mount Jordan Stake, Emergency Response Communications Net. This net meets each Sunday evening at 8:30PM or 2030 hours
local time, on 145.590 MHz (VHF) but on the first Sunday of the month we will meet on 438.400 MHz (UHF). Net Control this evening is (your call sign) and my name is _ (your name). I am in the Mount Jordan Stake __ Ward. This is an emergency communications net. We will break at any time for emergency traffic (Handle traffic as needed). This net allows amateurs serving as Ward Emergency Communication Specialists an opportunity to ensure that their equipment is functioning properly and to gain on-air experience. The net will proceed with any general announcements, followed by the rollcall, traffic and training.

[ANNOUNCEMENTS]
Are there any announcements of a general nature of interest for the net? Please come now with your call sign. (Handle traffic or state negative copy.) Net control next week is (call sign and name).

[NET CONTROLER BRGINS CHEC-INS]
I will now continue with the roll call. This is a directed net. If you need to leave the net prior to net closing, please advise Net Control. When you
check-in, begin by giving your CALL SIGN, followed by your FIRST NAME and CONFIRM THE WARD that you are reporting from. You can also share information about your equipment such as radio type, antenna, or any other informatiom you would like to share. If you have traffic, such as a topic or questions that you would like to discuss after the roll call, please so indicate. Roll call follows.

USE WARD CHECK-INS SHEET-ACKNLOWLEDGE RESPONDING CALLS, INDICATE SIGNAL QUALITY-GOOD, FAIR, POOR, OTHER SIGNAL INFO. INDICATE NEGATIVE COPY FOR STATIONS NOT RESPONDING FROM WARDS 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7th (check again for any new or late check-ins)

Call and ask if there's anyone that has training for the Net? if so, turn the net over to them. If no response, continue to close the Net.
